Postindustrial Apxinalle

On Friday, APXIV bends in the accounts of the power structure - the NCCA in Yekaterinburg.

PROGRAM:

1. Maskarad

Hiding, exploding, changing identities, taming the world with Instagram masks created by @apxivgroup. Tag the NCCA @ural_ncca and @apxivgroup in your publications and broadcasts, and find yourself in our stories!

💚💜«APXIV Fluctuations» for Maskarad Postindustrial APXINALLE at @ural_ncca 💜💚

APXIV artists define themselves as spatio-temporal foam in a process of constant fluctuations, ironically listing their achievements: “We have held 24 exhibitions in 24 hours, and the audience was invited to one of them. They seduced the viewer with discourse, fulfilled his wishes. Hacked the Biennale. Fourteen of them curated one exhibition. They erased the boundaries, pushed the boundaries, explored the fields, speculated on intangible values, forced to communicate, offered the strange, fit into the doubtful. " 💚💜Enjoy the APXIV Foam Bubbles

❤️❤️❤️«Deepface» by @apxivgroup for Maskarad of Postindustrial APXINALLE at @ural_ncca. The collective body of APXIV! Try it!❤️❤️❤️

👾 «GlassRoom»Olga Klimovitskaya's Instagram mask @paraseusse. ▪️▫️▪️A mask about artificial restrictions created for women in the patriarchy. You find yourself inside a glass sculpture, you can get out of it only with an effort. If you succeed, the space surrounding you becomes a small object that can be easily manipulated. Don't fall for soothing sounds, don't lose awareness.▪️▫️▪️ For Maskarad Post-Industrial APXINALLE at @ural_ncca

👄👁 Mask Ya Nzi @wyxzii «EyesAndMouthsAtHome» for Maskarad Postindustrial APXINALLE at @ural_ncca.👁 👄

"It's good when everyone is at home!"

👻 Mask of Anastasia Soboleva @soboleva_anastasiia 👺 «Without Consequences» “Without Consequences” is a diary project that I started in 2012. Since then, I have been recording events that matter to me in one sentence. Perhaps they will also be close to someone. Now you can try on events without consequences. The project has its own instagram @without_consequences.

👩‍🎨 The picturesque mask of Katya Granova @katyagranova for Maskarad Postindustrial APXINALLE at @ural_ncca

👹🤡 Two Maskarad masks in @ural_ncca resident @apxivgroup Sofia Ovchinnikova @soph.ovch (you can find the effect in the search by author, or go to the participant's profile and click on the "smiley" icon above the feed). 🔹 «Zu Gast». You are in my room, I am glad to welcome you on a visit. This is Germany, look around. 🔹 «ssimulatio». The trash you're stuck in. Disassemble your mail, delete spam, the phone book was created for a reason, do not flip through the fb before going to bed, the memes on the phone have already filled up all the memory, delete tick-tok, VK and games that you opened only once, sort notes, delete chats and groups in the cart, uncheck the Whatsapp box, which saves everything to your device. Why do you need linkdin if it was banned in Rashka? Be realistic remove the museum app. Remember: YouTube is a box, Insta is evil.

👽Danya Orlovsky mask @danya_orl «PostAnthropoMorphism» for Maskarad Postindustrial APXINALLE at @ural_ncca. 👽

On instagram @anthropomorphization_psychosis I collect pictures with pareidolia (this is when you see faces where there seem to be none) from my subscribers. The PostAnthropoMorphism mask works as a stimulant for the pareidolic effect by replacing one's own face with a picture with a seeming face. Thus, dehumanization of one's own appearance stimulates the humanization of the surrounding world.

🕉 Lika Gomiashvili's mask @lika_gomiashvili «closeyoureyes» for Maskarad Postindustrial APXINALLE at @ural_ncca.🕉

Instructions for using the mask are contained in its name. In the current quarantine situation, the division between inside and outside is exacerbated for everyone to their own "limit". The mask contains a portion of air to be inside, behind closed eyes. The freedom to be “inside” and to come out from there at any time.

✴️ Mask of Anya Kobzeva-Tagantseva @annataganzeva «letter» for Maskarad Postindustrial APXINALLE at @ural_ncca.✴️

Body covered with symbols, covered with writing. The marks on the skin are a seal. The ritual can begin! In this mask, I continue my culture of writing ancient signs in the digital environment.

👺👺 Instagram masks of Vladimir Savostin @savostin_art for Maskarad Postindustrial APXINALLE at @ural_ncca. 🔹

«Are we different?» In the coronavirus situation, we all realized the importance of the differences and individuality of each person. How, in fact, the media, social networks and government speaking about differences can drive us into "digital equality". 🔸 "God Save the Constitution." Reflections of the author on the topic of current political events in the country.

But that is not all! Maska + by Ilona Vladovskaya @elonalien in our Maskarad in @ural_ncca

2. Zoom performance "Terribly quiet .............................." 19:00–20:00 (EKB) | 17:00–18:00 (МSK)

We create a safe-space in a Zoom conference. Unlimited Participants and Unlimited Speaking. We meet with the APXIV artists with the microphones turned off and talk about what each of us cares about right now.

APXIV invites you to think about the topic of your statement and prepare in advance the broadcast location or your individual virtual background for Zoom.

Let's start our story with words of gratitude. On the first video - the curator of the Postindustrial APXINALLE and the big project “I Love You, the Internet” @ural_ncca Alisa Sycheva @alisa_gdemielofon, on the second - Nastya from the @ural_ncca, PR department, we have not seen the rest of the NCCA team, but we are sure that they are just as beautiful😘😘

We prepared APXINALLE together - called up, discussed, wrote, planned. All our ideas were realized thanks to the support and trust of Alisa personally and the NCCA team in Yekaterinburg. Thoughtful and tactful approach, reverent and respectful attitude to artists, prompt problem solving - ❤️💜💚 - thank you! Let's repeat off-line somehow? 😂

▪️▫️▪️Danya Orlovsky @danya_orl“A hidden story in the archive” ▪️▫️▪️ “A unique opportunity to tell people in the eyes things that you cannot say out loud! Looking at the silently speaking faces of the archivists, he told (and then danced) his emotionally colored story of APXIV. "

▪️▫️▪️Olga Klimovitskaya @paraseusse“Anti-discriminatory agenda in action” ▪️▫️▪️

Is it possible to both maintain body positive ideas and be afraid of gaining weight at the same time? Is it possible to be against ageism and at the same time dislike your aging body? Is sexual relations possible without objectification? "

▪️▫️▪️Anastasia Soboleva @soboleva_anastasiia“Zero Achievements” ▪️▫️▪️ What is it all about? What does it cost me, and how much longer can it go on? Which of my identities is paramount: photographer, assistant, artist, woman? I am very tired of striving to be good at everything.

In the course of the performance, I erase with a tile cleaner a photograph from my first real and at the same time failed exhibition. "

▪️▫️▪️Sofia Ovchinnikova @soph.ovch “Shame and fatigue” ▪️▫️▪️ “I don't feel like an artist, I feel lonely and a vacuum. I don’t know any languages, but I forget my native one. The burden of emigration fell on me when I least expected it. I never took the move seriously, but now I am here and I am overwhelmed by this sense of injustice - why can't I go to my family, oh yes, the borders are closed.

Dance for me became a release from these thoughts. I returned to you, but I hate the fact that I cannot hug each of you. I have the right to feel it - "I am an artist."

Katya Granova @katyagranova "Burrocratic body in pdf" ▪️▫️▪️ I've been doing this for two months now. You need to collect all your "achievements" in a heap, in neat pdf files with content and links, and present them so that it looks like "international recognition of the emerging talent". Talent, damn it. You take pieces of your life and make them presentable pdfs. Which look as if you are doing well. And during the call I just continued to create the illusion that I’m a good guy, in the form of 10 neat daddies in non-stop, desperately buggy programs. Maybe I’ve been doing this all my life? some people, these pdfs - look how smart I am. Look how successful I am. See how I care about the oppressed. Give me your attention! Give me approval! Give me a visa! But the program fails.

I am the body in the world. A physical thing in time and space. I feel my body. How to make a pdfku about this? I paint my painting about it. What I am. That I am a body. I am some kind of dirty marks on a cloth. "

▪️▫️▪️Anna Tagantseva-Kobzeva @annataganzeva"Flow" ▪️▫️▪️

“The walls reflect the voice of the lonely presence in the room. Yes, it's quiet here, sometimes even quieter ..

— you need to check the microphone so that it is turned off! Necessarily off, so that for others it was just as quiet. There is no answer on both sides, but here they are not both at all, there are many of them and each has the same wall of silence.

I prepared pictures for the background, so cool, it would be nice to hide and speak for me. Perhaps I would not even have to tell something, but I would read a book, the background would explain everything, I would make a cool photo from the conference in the zoom for a portfolio.

The idea collapsed as soon as it started. For some reason, looking at all this, I want, I even need to remove the lofty blurry screen from my last online exhibition and sit here with a non-cool background of my wall, so ordinary that it doesn't even pull me to work.

Now a quiet conference in the zoom looks like a society, a kind of equality of small windows with video, and behind them there are personal monologues and a story and loneliness in front of the screen of other people.

It is like a miniature of presence, and if society needed a symbol of this very presence, then it would be safe to take a video from the zoom with a constantly speaking person. " And now I am the same person on the screens of other people. Perhaps I should talk about something important? — To bring the idea to express the thoughts of the concept, maybe I should talk about something personal, be frank, like in a session with a psychologist, use this hour rationally, read out a manifesto or depict something? Trying to integrate into the general flow, so silent that you can hear the inner voice, sounds tempting, almost like a spiritual practice. But here I am in a deep emptiness and I do not say anything specific, perhaps I have nothing to say and nothing to say, and if it were a confession, I would have screwed it up. Maybe you can just pretend to be heard, try to provoke with a revelation, try at least something that breaks the silence in response, but that's just my voice. “Damn echo! it seems to want to answer me, forcing me to repeat and conquer the place of the sound source. At least some new communication this month.

You knew that people who have done Botox perceive emotions worse, their muscles, paralyzed by the drug, are no longer able to repeat some of the movements of someone else's facial expressions. And now I look here in this room at so many emotions and phrases at once that I do not hear and say in response without answering.

Maybe our speeches, spoken at once, will unite somewhere in the figure of general noise or remain something personal, absorbed into the interiors of apartments.

▪️▫️▪️Vladimir Savostin @savostin_art“I realized I don’t want to talk” ▪️▫️▪️ I was going to read Heidegger into the emptiness of our silent Zoom broadcast. His lyrics look very strange to me now (at one time I read him a lot). And his term “presence” became popular again. But I realized that someone will definitely read something, or talk about what they cannot say. I realized that I didn't want to talk. I danced with the cheerleaders while kamlaing. This is such a strain on my inability to rejoice.

▪️▫️▪️Lika Gomiashvili @lika_gomiashvili "Poly dark side" / Post-industrial APXINALLE at @ural_ncca / May 8, 2020 ▪️▫️▪️ "The uniqueness of a snowflake is not about you." You are not special, not exclusive, the current situation of the hormonal background determines your value in my life and your need, soon it will pass along with oxytocin from my blood.

If it hurts, sad, unbearable from this, then you have lost. You have to go for treatment and work on yourself. Sensitivity as a vice and inconvenience for others "

▪️▫️▪️Ya Nzi @wyxzii / Postindustrial APXINALLE in @ural_ncca / 8 May 2020 ▪️▫️▪️

Special thanks to the viewers who have joined the ZOOM-happening “Terribly Quiet ...............................”! 💜💚💜💚💜

If you would like to outline the topics that you spoke about, write to us. We will publish them as a short story.

3. Second inclusion of APXIV in Minecraft 21:00–23:00 (ЕКB) | 19:00–21:00 (МSK)

Return to digital utopia with APXIV artists. We simulate a holiday through a simulation of labor, we march as chaotically as possible, we gather in groups, we do not keep the distance in the computer game Minecraft.

APXIV will host a series of events:

• we will celebrate the women's historical night, remember the great women and create memorable monuments for them

• we will undermine the guarantors and keep the guarantees

• we will conduct performances that exhaust digital bodies

• get rid of the shame

• take memorable photos against the background of the Berlin Chroma Key Wall

ARXIV is an international self-organized self-patronizing art group (11 residents as of May 2020, living in Russia, Germany and England).

Group projects often take place in the format of a one-day event, where the way and method of interacting with the viewer becomes the main work of art, the creation of which takes place in real time with the direct participation of each involved agent.

To gain insight into the defensible practice of APXIV, we decided to spend a full day with them and see how they transform the digital environment into an alternate reality of free speech, action and artistic production.

Since its inception, the composition of the participants has changed, at the moment the residents of APXIV are:

Anastasia Soboleva

Danya Orlovsky

Olga Klimovitskaya

Anna Tagantseva-Kobzeva

Sofya Ovchinnikova

Vladimir Savostin

Ya Nzi

Ilona Vladovskaya
